What is Fonted?

Fonted creates unique art prints using real letters photographed from buildings, signs, pubs, shops and other places around the UK. We use these letters to create words, names and phrases as original photographic typography.

About Us

Fonted was created by husband and wife team Mick and Julie Bourner, from our love of photography, travel and the often-overlooked lettering we see around us.

What started as an idea to photograph interesting letters and signs has grown into a collection of thousands of images from places across the UK and beyond. We bring these individual letters together to create artwork featuring towns, football clubs, local sayings, Welsh and Gaelic phrases, names and much more.

We’re always looking for new letters and new places, so the Fonted collection continues to grow.

Real letters. Real places. Real Fonted.
